Game of Thrones S5 Finale

Uggg, even before the episode I am nervous.  UGGGGGGGGGG This is the end and there is so much story to tell.  Predictions: Something has to be resolved for Cersei, Dany has to get ready to move on Westeros, Jamie needs to leave Dorne, Sansa somehow takes a stand on the Boltons, and Arya shows how much of a badass she really is.  These are my predictions there are 4 minutes left until the episode begins. AHHHHHH

Credits, Seems like everyone is going to be in this episode....YAAAAAAYYYY
Fucking Melisandre I hope there is a special place in hell for her.  YAY Half of the men deserted Stannis right after he burned his own daughter at the stake.  WOO HOO!  WOO HOO I told you so!!!!!!!  He sees his wife, Selyse, hung herself in the woods.  Then we hear Melisandre took a horse and rode off into the woods.  Stannis decides he and what is left of his army (about a quarter of what left Castle Black) will still march on Winterfell.  Without so many of their men, they get slaughtered.  While waiting in the forrest above Winterfell, Brienne comes upon an injured Stannis.  Stannis is still alive in the wood and Brienne asks him if he killed Renley with blood magic.  Stannis acknowledges that he did did kill his brother and Brienne says it is her duty to put him to the death.  We see her swing the sword but then there is a cut scene.  We do not know for sure if she did it or not. WOOO FRACKING HOOOOO!!!!!!!

Now there are theories all over the place in if Stannis is alive or if he is dead.  I can see both sides.  Brienne LOVED Renley so killing Stannis would be justice and even a bit of vengeance.  BUT, Brienne is loyal to Catelyn and trying to protect Sansa.  Stannis is a good military tactician and is enemy of the Boltons who currently hold Sansa hostage.  The enemy of my enemy is my friend.  There have been moments of great forethought on the part of Brienne but mostly she is a woman of action not thought.  Since her story differs GREATLY from the books, I am not sure where they are taking her.

Jon and Sam are talking and Sam asks to go to Old Town to become a Maester.  Jon reluctantly agrees to let him go and train.  We see Sam, Gilly and Baby Sam leave for Old Town.

Sansa uses the corkscrew (?) to pick her lock.  She sneaks across the yard to the broken tower where she lights the candle for Brienne.  At this time Brienne is watching the Boltons march upon Stannis.  Sansa sees this from the tower and decides it is time for her escape.  She is stopped by Ramsay's girlfriend, Myranda and Reek.  Myranda tries to torment Sansa.  Sansa for once stands her ground and says if she is going to die she would rather die while there is still some of her left.  WOO HOO Sansa.  Myranda torments her more and then sees Ramsay come back.  Reek picks up Myranda and throws her over the rampart.  SPLAT.  Her brains are leaking everywhere.

~~~~~~~~~~~ SIDENOTE- see, you see Myranda die, you see her brains splattered everywhere.  Dead, she is DEAD.  Now there is still question over several other people in this story as you do not actually see them dead.  Just think about it, The Hound, The Mountain, Stannis just to name a few. ~~~~~~~~~~~
Theon then grabs Sansa's hand and they go running.  They decide to jump off of the side of the castle-into a snow drift - I hope- and that is the end of Theon and Sansa.
We go back to the brothel in Bravos where Meryn Trant is beating three young girls with a switch.  The first two let out a wail and the third does not make a sound.  He beats the third one a couple of times and then dismisses the other two.  The third one then takes out a small knife and stabs him repeatedly.  She takes off her face and it is Arya.  She goes on stabbing him in the eyes, belly, back and face before disclosing who she is.  She then slits his throat.  WOO HOO.  This is the first person on her list that she has actually killed herself.  There have been others that have died at the hands of others (Joffrey) and there are those that are questionably dead (the Hound).  WTG ARYA!  Arya then returns the face to the House of Black and White and is met by the other girl who helps her wash bodies and Jaqen H'ghar who tell her she has stolen a death from the many faced god and then Jaqen drinks poison.  Arya freaks and cries and the girl asks her why she cries and Arya tells her that Jaqen was her friend and the girl laughs and her face changes into Jaqen.  Arya then rips the faces off of the corpse until she comes across her own.  Jaqen tells her since she was not ready, the face she took from the many faced god is poison to her.  Arya then states she can not see and shows her eyes go to all white.  AHHHHHHH!
We are off to Dorne.  Jamie and Myrcella are setting off on their journey to King's Landing.  They have a departing posse of Prince Doran, Ellaria and the Sand Snakes.  Ellaria kisses Myrcella on the lips and tells Myrcella she hopes Myrcella has a long and happy life.  We get on the boat and Jamie awkwardly tries to tell Myrcella that he loves her and that he is her father.  Myrcella tells Jamie that she knows Jamie is her father and that she is glad.  AWWWW something happy in the final episode.  NOT! Myrcella then gets a nosebleed and faints.  Ellaria and the Snakes are on the dock and Ellaria gets a nosebleed and then wipes her nose and then her lipstick off and takes the antidote bead off of her necklace and drinks it.  Meanwhile the ship is out to sea.  HA HA HA this is how Joffrey died too.  WTG Cersei, get both of your kids killed by the same poison.  LOLOLOL
Is Myrcella dead?  Will they find the antidote? Hmmmmmmmm... I have to say this, Poor Jamie.  He has had nothing but a pain in the ass since Cersei decided to kill Robert.  Hell maybe since he threw Bran out of a window.  Because Ned told Cersei he knew about the childrens' parentage, Cersei sent Jamie after Ned and then had to go to war-he got captured-was set free by Catelyn-was behanded-made it back to King's Landing where his beloved (Cersei) wanted nothing to do with him and sent him away-see nothing but one giant pain in the ass.
Meereen.  Grey worm and Missandei are on the move and come into the throne room (?) where Tyrion, Jorah, and Daario Naharis are.  They discuss what to do with the missing Dany and with Jorah, whom she exiled.  It is decided after much insult and argument that Jorah and Daario will leave to go find Dany.  Tyrion, Missandei and Grey Worm will stay to try and fix the problems in Meereen.  Since Missandei is Dany's confidant and Grey Worm is one of the people, they will help Tyrion be recognized by the people.  Tyrion will of course be the brains of the operation.  After the discussion Tyrion makes it out to the balcony where he is found by Varys.  YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY it is so good to have them back together.
Daenerys is on a mountain top with Drogon.  Drogon seems to have made a nest of bones for himself.  Dany is asking him if he is hurt and how far he took her.  She tries to climb onto Drogon's back to take her home to Meereen. Drogon promptly bucks her off.  I think he is still injured and tired from the battle.  Let him rest awhile.  She decides to wander down the mountain to the green hills.  DURRH why wander that far from your dragon?  She then hears a horse.  Suddenly she is surrounded by Dothraki.  She sees them coming and drops her ring to the ground.  Significant?  I assume so as they showed it.  AHHH HA I got it!  Drogon took her north to the great plains called the Dothraki Sea.  Dany kept telling Drogon he needed to take her home-to him, he was born from the burning of a Khal of the Dothraki in the Dothraki desert so this might be what he sees as home.  Well, we shall see what happens.
Cersei, Cersei, Cersei. Na Nah Nee Boo Boo.  You look like poo poo.  Cersei confesses to the High Sparrow that she slept with Lancell but denies she slept with Jamie.  She tries to blame it on Robert and the Sparrow will have none of it.  HA! The Sparrow tells her she will need to be put on trial.    He tells her she can return to the Red Keep after her atonement.  The maids cut off all of her hair and bathe her.  They take her outside and take her dress off and make her walk the long walk to the Red Keep to see Tommen.  During her walk you see lots of naked folks mocking her and calling her names.  The people of King's Landing do not really like her as they were throwing all sorts of things at her and screaming all forms of vulgarity.  Rather nice.  Finally Cersei makes it to the Red Keep to be greeted by Qyburn who brings her a cloak and introduces her to the newest member of the King's Guard who is a zillion feet tall.  The new guard has a very purple face and has taken a vow of silence.  Frankenstein's Mountain anyone?  Qyburn fixed-ish Gregor Clegane.  Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.  Honestly, letting Cersei go back to her seat of power was a mistake on the part of the High Sparrow.  From here, Cersei has her friends and those that are loyal-ish to her.  If she wanted, Cersei could flee King's Landing or find ways to be a bigger pain in the ass.  Who knows what she will do.  I am glad that she got humiliated though.  Still, this was NOT enough to pay for all of her misgivings.  Was this even enough punishment for killing Robert?  I think not.  Certainly it is not even close to enough for what she (and Joffrey) did to Ned and the rest of the Starks.
The end has come.  Melisandre comes to Castle Black where Davos is trying to persuade Jon Snow to send the Wildlings to fight with Stannis.  Jon says no.  Davos confronts Melisandre who looks very morose and she says nothing.  Jon is in his office when Olly comes running in telling him that a Wildling has recently seen Benjen Stark and Benjen is still alive.  Jon of course follows him outside to see.  He is greeted my Allister Thorne.  They take Jon to a sign labeled Traitor.  There are a group of 7 or so watchmen and they all stab Jon.  Olly is the last.  What a fucking pissant.  I can not wait until the white walkers eat your sorry ass piece of shit.  I hope the giant tears Allister Throrne limb from limb-VERY SLOWLY or even does the Ramsay Bolton-Reek thing with him.  Meanwhile Jon is laying in the snow bleeding out.
END OF SEASON 5.
Recap:  HOLY SHIT THAT WAS AWESOME!!! I can not believe it is over.  HOLY COW.......more, I need more.
Jon Snow... is he dead?   I think not.  Why else would have Melisandre come to Castle Black?  Certainly not for Davos, she knows he hates her.  Melisandre is not the only lover of the Lord of Light.  We have seen others bring people back from the dead.  Why not Jon?  Also, where the hell is Ghost?  I am sure Jon will be fine.  I am truly not worried at all.  Besides, if Bran can Warg, why not Jon?  Just sayin.
Sansa, did she and Theon survive the jump?  Hell, who knows, I would hope so but so far this is a giant story of "Shit on anyone named Stark" so it would not surprise me if they did not survive.
 Myrcella-I think she is going to die....need to keep Dorne relevant and HOPEFULLY piss of Jamie enough that he will take it out on Cersei. Besides, King's Landing at war with Dorne, WOO HOO.  More people against Cersei, the better.
Cersei, who really knows?  I hope she gets dysentery from all of the glack thrown at her.  I hope she dies a slow painful death, will that happen?  Hell no it will not.  I can not wait to see if there is more shit thrown at her though.  Metaphorically or not.
Dany- I think she is going to become friends with the new Dothraki and make a home, albeit temporary, in the Dothraki Sea.  I think Tyrion, Varys, Missandei, and Grey Worm will start rounding up  the Sons of the Harpy and send them to King's Landing HA HA HA.  Probably not, but I think they will bring a bit of order to Meereen before they leave.
Arya, I think she is going to get her sight back and be a big badass.  I hope she continues her training and finds her own ways to right the wrongs done to her and her family.
As for my predictions, I got 4 out of the 5 right, not too shabby.
OHHHH Season 5, you were a bit slow in the beginning.  I know the pieces had to move around the chessboard and all, I get it.  You have been great to us and I can not wait to see you again in 10 months.
Game of Thrones Recap S5-E9
The episode begins with Melisandre-The Red Witch and ohhh she is not a true servant of the lord of light as she says she is.  The camp she is staying in suddenly catches fire.  Ramsay's men rode into their camp and lit fire to the food and stores of the army of Stanis.  Stanis and Davos have a discussion and well....humm it seems like Stanis is thinking about the Red Priestesses proposal about Shireen.  Stanis sends Davos to the wall with a message stating Stanis needs more food and horses.  Davos tries to stay by his side but Stanis will have none of it.  Davos then goes to Shireen and gives her a hand carved wooden stag and thanks her for teaching him to read.  Davos promises to bring a doe so the stag will have company.
After a brief conversation with Shireen, Stanis fucks up big time.  Hells bells.  Stanis burns Shireen at the stake.  What an asshole.  People are going to hear about this and think he is fucking crazy and he is next on some peoples shit list.  People should not follow him.  The only redeeming thing that happened is that Shireen's cray cray mom Celise tried-although feebly-to stop it.  Too little too late, Bitch.  I can not wait until Davos hears about this.  I am 100% sure he is not going to stand by idly.  Perhaps he will join up with the watch since Stanis sent him to the wall. I know and I am sure Davos will know too, that Stanis sent him away so that Davos was not there to try and stop this and save Shireen.  FUCKING STANIS!
Jon returns to the wall with all of the wildlings and for a moment I think there is a time when Alliser Thorne, current highest rank at Castle Black delays opening the gate making us think that he will not.  In the end, he opens up and tells Jon he has a good heart and it will get them all killed.
Jamie is welcomed as a guest by Prince Doran of Dorne.  Doran does not want war with King's Landing and even toasts Tommen.  Jamie tells him of the threat on Myrcella's life and Myrcella tells him that her necklace was stolen from her room.  He agrees to send her and Prince Trystane to King's Landing as long as the Prince is on the small council.  Jamie agrees.  Bron is set free.  Ellaria-lover of the deceased Prince Oberyn and mother of the Sand Snakes is openly disdainful of the plan to send Myrcella, Jamie, and Trystane to King's Landing.  When in private Doran tells her he believes in second chances but not third.   She either shows him allegiance or dies.  She sobs as she kisses his ring.  This happens in front of the Sand Snakes.  Ellaria then has a conversation with Jamie letting him know she knows his love for Cersei. She talks of love and how times change rules.  The only thing that is the does not change is that we love who we love.  She also tells him she knows Myrcella is innocent of what happened to Oberyn and perhaps Jamie is as well.
Mase Tyrell is now in Bravos.  He is the envoy from King's Landing to the Iron Bank.  Mase is a bit dense and is making a complete of a fool of himself.  It is kind of embarrassing, really.   This is when Arya sees Ser Meryn Trant, a man who betrayed her father in King's Landing and is on her list of to kill.
Arya was sent out by Jaqen to kill the thin man from last episode and she is on her way to do so when she sees Meryn Trant.  Instead of killing the thin man, she follows Meryn Trant and watches him go into a brothel.  She listens to him bash the Tyrells and how they wanted to put Renly on the throne.  Sicko that he is, Meryn Trant wants a prepubescent girl and then once he is done with her he will want another for tomorrow.  Sicko.  I think Maryn either recognizes Arya or, he thinks she is the right age for what he wants.  Arya returns to Jaqen and tells him the thin man was not hungry and therefore she could no poison him.  She will try again tomorrow.  HMMM I hope she gets the chance to kill Trant.  At least she can do one on her list.  I doubt it will happen but I hope it does.
Daenerys is now witness to the fighting pits.  She is not thrilled about it but she is there none the less.  She is there with Daario Naharis, Hizdahr zo Loraq-her betrothed-Tyrion and Missandei.  Jorah is there fighting in the pits and when he wins his duel he throws a spear into the tent where Dany is.  He kills one of the Sons of the Harpy.  There are simply hundreds of them.  They are killing the people in the stands and are trying to get to  Dany.  Hizdahr is stabbed in the fighting, status unknown.  The rest of the party is surrounded until Drogon comes and makes a BBQ of the Harpy.  They are throwing spears at him.  It is at that time that Dany looks into his eyes, rubs his snout and decides to climb on an they fly off.  You see her party staring at them in air in total awe.  END OF EPISODE.
Previews for next week:
Dany's entourage sitting on the steps of Meereen.
Cersei crying.
Sansa saying if she is going to die she is going to do it while there is some of her left.
Jon at the wall making a heavy decision.
Melisandre stating the Lord of Light has delivered on his promise and Stanis stating the siege will begin at sunrise.
Arya talking to the faces in the House of Black and White repeating: you are no one.
Brienne and Pod looking like they are about to lay siege to Winterfell.
Impressions
Ser Meryn Trant is a sicko.
Stanis is a crazy piece of shit who thinks being King (of which he is not the rightful heir) is more important than his own daughter.
Jon and those at the wall are a force to be reckoned with.  Dany and Drogon are hell on wheels.
There is too much story left to wait another 9 months!
I WILL NEVER FORGIVE STANIS
Game of Thrones S5-E5, E6 and E7
After going on vacation I did not get to see the last three episodes on time.  During my time off, I thought I would try something a bit different.  I thought I would add more discussion rather than a just a recap.
In the last few episodes we have Daenerys messing up everything in Meereen.  Finally she made a few good yet somewhat questionable decisions.  She decided to allow the fighting to continue in the fighting pits...only with free men.  Then she decided to marry a citizen of Meereen.  LOLOL ok.  If she thinks that will work to help appease the people of this gawd awful town, then let her at it.
Jorah and Tyrion are traveling the long way to Meereen through old Valyria where they apparently put all of the people with grey scale.  Kind of like a leper colony.  Jorah contracts Grey Scale but hides it from Tyrion.  They are captured by slave traders who want to kill Tyrion for his penis.  Per legend, dwarf penis is lucky. This is hilarious to me.  The exchange the captors have with Tyrion while he tries to save his penis is beyond funny.   Tyrion states that they need to keep him alive to prove that the penis comes from a dwarf because he is well endowed.  LOLOL this is just great.  The captors decide to keep him alive.  Tyrion tells the captors of the combat prowess of Jorah and now they are both off to the fighting pits of Meereen.  I think the duo could be quite funny if the writers let them go at it, they would be even funnier. Even during stressful and dark scenes the banter of Tyrion can make anyone chuckle. Once in Meereen, Jorah and Tyrion come across Daenerys and Jorah tells her that he brought a present with him and Tyrion steps up and says, that he is the present.  Woo HOO, they have finally made it to Daenerys.  I do not know how this is going to play out.  I think that the combination of Tyrion and Daenerys has to be greatness because the Meereen story is past stale.  We need Tyrion to be back in a position where he can regularly use his gifts of tact and manipulation.
I do now know which duo I like better, Tyrion/Jorah or Jamie/Bronn.  Jamie and Bronn are off in Dorne looking for Jamie's daughter.  They are hilarious.  They walk right into the palace and try to take Myrcella.  She of course does not want to go and about that time, there are The Sand Snakes (the daughters of the dead Prince Oberyn Martell) and a battle takes place.  There is no winner because as the end comes so do the palace guards.  They take Bronn, Jamie and the Snakes into custody.  What is it with these Lannister men?  I love them both.  Both of them are witty and have moments of hilarity.  During the battle with the Snakes, Bronn was poisoned by one of the knives of the Sand Snakes.  Think of what took down the Mountain during the battle with Prince Oberyn.  The Mountain is still under the care of the new Maester in King's Landing and we do not know his status other than vegetable.  While in prison Bronn befriends one of the Sand Snakes she then gives him some of the anti-serum to save his life.  Interesting.  Thank goodness.  I thought they were killing off Bronn and I was about to be pissed off.  I love me some Bronn.
 Cersei the bitch is at it again.  This time her sights are set at they Tyrell Family.  She has already had Loris taken into custody via the High Sparrow,  Now she has her eyes on Margaery,  RAH She has Margaery testify in regards to Loris not being a homosexual.  The next to testify is the Gigalo that Loris has been boffing. He testifies that not only did Margaery know, she caught him and Loris going at it once and made him leave.  Since the High Sparrow is a righteous man and Margaery lied, he takes her into custody.  Tommen is upset and trusts his mother to take care of it and get Margaery out of jail.  Tommen is showing his age in that he trusts his mother and does not see the wicked witch that she is.  The next episode lady Olenna tries to convince Cersei to release Margaery and Cersei will have nothing to do with it.  In fact Cersei goes to the prison to Margaery to gloat.
 Lady Olenna has a meeting with the High Sparrow to try to save Margaery and of course it does nothing but to show that The High and Mighty asshat High Sparrow Is a total D-Bag.  The asshat Sparrow calls a meeting with Cersei and tells her all about Lancell and what secrets Lancell had to spill.  He then has Cersei thrown in a cell. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO! Cersei thinks that she is going to be able to get out of this.  After all, her son is the King.  HA, you empowered the monster.  Now, they come after you.  YIPPEE!!!! This is the beginning of the downfall of Cersei Lannister I have been waiting for this for 5 seasons.  Down with the Bitch of Westeros!
There are some bits with Jon Snow and the Knight's Watch.  He is going to free the wildlings and go north of the wall to recruit them to help in the upcoming war with the White Walkers.  He leaves the wall and it is right away that Sam and Gilly are accosted.  Maester Aemon dies and it if Jon does not get back soon the Watch will be no more and nothing but chaos.
Stanis and Mellisandre are marching on the Boltons and Winterfell but they are having a problem.  The snow is coming.  Their sell-swords are from the south and not used to these kind of winters and the cold.  They have abandoned Stanis.  Mellisandre states that they need royal blood.  It is at this time that she tells Stanis they have royal blood in Shereen.  He tries to tell her they could use leeches and she says NO!  Holy Shit Stanis, you can not possibly consider doing this.  NO WAY!  If you kill your own daughter you will loose the respect of everyone.  Is being King worth killing your daughter and loosing the respect of everyone?  Everyone in Westeros will hear the story and think you are CRAY CRAY for following this psycho God that made you kill your own daughter.  I hope to God that you get your head screwed on straight and do not do this.
There has not been a lot of Arya this season.  She is still in the house of Black and White.  She is learning to be No One and getting past who she was.  This is difficult for her.  She has been washing lots of corpses.  The most recent episode someone brings their very sick daughter in for help.  She tells them about the healing waters and the waters are actually poison.  This is a mercy killing and she then washes the little girls body.  This is when Jaqen H'ghar takes her to show her the basement and tells her she might not be able to be No One but she might be able to be someone else.  Yay, I am tired of watching her wash corpses.
Sansa is now married to Ramsay.  There has been a lot of hubub over what happens next.  While wholly unpleasant, for the time that this show was set in, it kind of makes sense and I am not really offended by it.  Besides, it is worse in the book.  It is their wedding night and Ramsay is ready for getting some nooky from his new wife.  He makes Reek stand in the room to watch as he forcibly takes Sansa from behind.  Not nice or kind in any way.  In my opinion, to get that bent out of shape s a bit ridiculous. I think Sansa being married to that tool sucks big time.  I really, really do.  I have never liked Sansa, I think she is a huge idiot but still no one should be treated this way, except maybe Cersei or Theon.  HAHAHA  Later on, Sansa shows her inner idiot again when she tells Theon that they are not alone.  She asks him to light the candle in the tower to signal Brienne for help.  DOH!  Now,  Sansa has been locked in her room all of the time and Ramsay comes to her every night for more nookie.  Not a pleasant existence at all.  I get what she was trying to do but shit, you have to test the waters before jumping in and breaking your neck.  Of course Reek runs to Ramsay and tells him all about Sansa and the plan for help.  Ramsay then tortures and flays the maid that told Sansa about Brienne.  Sansa, really, you do not trust the lackey traitor with your biggest ace up your sleeve on the first go around.  What an idiot?  REALLY!  What an idiot?  I thought she was getting better.  Every time I think that, she then does something really stupid again.  She needed to work on Reek before telling him your one secret.  With the previews for next week, she tries in on Reek again.  We shall see.
The most recent episode there was a lot of action.  Until that point this season has been moving the players to where they need to be on the chess board.  I am happy for all of the action.  Mostly I am happy that Tyrion made it to Meereen and he will be able to begin his journey advising Daenerys.
Game of Thrones S5-E4 Recap
Welcome Back.  This is awesome.  I have to say it is nice seeing that Winterfell is not burning in the credits any longer.  WOO HOO.
Cersei
Margaery Tyrell since I hate Cersei
Gawd what a bitch.  I do not think I have shared my opinion of her very well.  I FUCKING HATE HER.  This I suppose is the whole purpose of her.  Some constant character to loathe through the entire story.  Cersei sends the Kings Master of Coin Mase Tyrell to Bravos to discuss terms on the loan they have given to the crown.  She makes a deal with the High Sparrow to arm him and his men.  They then violently go after anyone Cersei thinks goes against the Gods....Good God when did she take up religion?  The Sparrows go after the brothel owned by Littlefinger and then take Loris Tyrell into custody.  Margaery of course flips out and screams at the King, Tommen.  Tommen does confront his mother, Cersei but she tells him to confront the High Sparrow himself.  Tommen does go to the streets to the High Sparrow and is stopped because the Sparrow is praying.  While in the streets, the crowd calls him filthy bastard and abomination.  Tommen then walks away.  He goes to tell Marjaery and she leaves him to go be with her family.  HA HA HA Tommen, yes, you are only a teenager but it is about time you took up sides and they must be against your mother.
Princess Shireen of the House Baratheon
Stanis
We see him talking to his wife the total crazy biatch, Selyse, who is upset that she did not give him a son.  Instead, she gave him a deformity in their daughter, Shireen.  Later Shireen asks Stanis if she is ashamed of her.  Stanis tells her the story of how she got the gray scale.  He reminds her that she is the Princess Shireen of the house Baratheon and she is his daughter.  Shireen hugs him, and for the first time, Stanis shows us some real emotion and he hugs her back.
Melisandre
Jon
The red priestess, Melisandre, tried to persuade Jon Snow to come with Stanis and the army to march on Winterfell.   Jon tells her that the Knight's Watch is his life now and then she tries to seduce him.  EWWWWW!! Good for Jon that he withstands her seductions.  Jon tells the her that he is in love with another and will not betray her.  On her way out, Melisandre turns and looks at Jon and says "You know nothing, Jon Snow".  This was the line that Ygritte told him time and time again.  Kind of a knife in the heart and low blow.
Sansa in the Winterfell Tombs
Sansa
She is visiting the crypts under Winterfell.  Littlefinger finds her there and he tells her a story of him as a child and seeing Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen.  He hints that maybe Rhaegar did not kidnap and rape Lyanna after all.  HMMM FOOD FOR THOUGHT as this is not the first or even second time this hint has been dropped.  There are rumors all over the place that Jon Snow is the result of their union and not really Ned Starks bastard.  I am sure we will find out later on.  When Littlefinger tells Sansa that he is leaving for King's Landing I expected her to throw more of a hissy like she ususally does.  Instead, she seems to be pondering her situation more...WELL GOOD FOR HER.  Hopefully she lets her spine grow instead of keeping it a bit stunted.  Littlefinger tells her how Stanis is coming to march on Winterfell and kick the shit out of the Boltons.  WOO HOO Once the Boltons are out, Stanis will make Sansa wardeness of the north.  He will do this as a repayment for her fathers loyalty in Stanis' claim to the throne.  If Stanis does not come, Sansa will have to continue the plan to marry Ramsay. Sansa tells Littlefinger she does not know how to please Ramsay and she is scared of Roos.  Littlefinger tells her she should be scared or Roos but that she knows how to maneuver since she has learned from the best, himself of course.  BUT THEN Littlefinger kisses her. BLUCKITY YUCK YUCK YUCK
Jamie and Bron
They are making their way to Dorne to take back Jamie's daughter, Myrcella, from the house Martell.  Their ships captain is taken prisioner by the daughters of Ellaria Sand and Oberyn Martell.  They find out that Jamie has come to take Myrcella back.  The four women decide to save Myrcella from Jamie and Bronn and to make war against the Lannisters.
Tyrion captive of Jorah Mormont
Tyrion
Tyrion is back on a boat this time as a captive of Jorah Mormont.  Jorah tells him he is taking Tyrion to Daenerys.  LOLOL I love Tyrion so much.  This is a funny play between the two.
Daenerys
She takes a council from a Hizdahr zo Lorac, a Meereen man looking for her to resume the traditions of fighting in the fighting pits.  Dani of course will not allow them to begin.  Next come the Sons of the Harpy killing Dani's soldiers and Unsullied.  Grey Worm is surrounded by many, many of them and almost dies and then Barristan Selmy comes to his aid and they are the only two left.  Both are mortally wounded though.
The preview for next week:
Barristan Selmy is indeed dead, Dani is crying then looks pissed.  Sansa looks up and sees Ramsay screwing someone.  You hear him say, "You remember what happens to people who bore me?"  Abd Brienne stating "Sansa is in danger even if she does not even know it".  Then cut to the wall and Jon saying Winter is Coming, we know what is coming with it and we can not face it alone". Stanis is leaving Castle Black and Tyrion is in the boat and looks up and sees.....a dragon.
Game of Thrones Recap S5-E2
Arya
Good Lord this young gal is a BADASS.  She makes her way to Bravos and goes to the House of Black and White and asks for Jaqen H'ghar.  Per the wizend older gentleman who answered the door, there was no one there by that name.  She sat on the front steps through a rain storm and still no one would let her in.  She had no where else to go so she waited.   After a time when no one would let her in, she threw the coin Jaqen gave to her into the Bravos bay and left the island.  Later in the episode she was walking through the streets of Bravos and there were three fellas who wanted her sword.  She gets into her water dancer stance and then the gentleman from the House of Black and White walks behind her and it scares off the would be robbers.  She then follows him to the island and it turns out that the old man is Jaqen and he does not have a name.  I am so excited for what is yet to come for Arya.  There are moments with her that make me think of Jon.  I suppose that is planned but it is still nice to see.
Sansa
I hate Sansa.  She is blindly following Littlefinger still and it drives me crazy.  Brienne and Pod bump into Sansa and Littlefinger in a inn and Brienne pledges her sword to keep her safe.  Sansa denies her assistance of course.  Brienne and Pod are now on the run from Littlefinger's men.  GRRR.  In the end Brienne and Pod escape and they will follow Sansa and Littlefinger.  Why can she not disappear the same as Rickon did?
Tyrion
Varys and Tyrion are now on a boat headded in the direction of Meereen to find Daenerys.  There is a long deep discussion about being trapped in a situation and Tyrion trapped in the box.  Nothing really new here just a follow up on last week.  There is not alot going on here but what is left to the imagination.  I am imagining he will help teach Daenerys how to be queen.
Jamie and Cersi
Cersi the bitch is ugly to Jamie as they discuss Myrcella and what to do.  Cersi received a serpent in a box and told Jamie it was a threat from Dorne.  Cersi is so ugly to him and I do not understand why.  Just a bitch I guess.  Jamie leaves and goes to Bronn to try and enlist his help to get Myrcella back from Dorne.  Some humters bring Cersi what they think is Tyrions head.  It is not.  She then has a talk with the small council and everyone volunteers to be the new Hand of the King.  Cersi gives it to Qyburn who is the Maester who was stripped of his chain.  Cersi's uncle Kevan states that he is not going to be her little puppet and if Tommen, the King, wants his assistance then the King can ask for it himself.  He then leaves the small council.  I can NOT wait for what is yet to happen to Cersi.  This has been 4 seasons and still no retribution for Ned.  Also, will it ever get through her head that all of her nightmares are because she let Joffrey kill Ned?   Or maybe, just maybe it is because she helped kill her husband the king?  Bitch.
Jon
Jon is at the wall talking with Stanis who is pretty pissed that he shot Manse.  Oh well.  Then we find out there is to be the election of the new Lord Commander.  They expect that Allister Thorne will be the new leader.  Stanis wants Jon to take the knee and give him the north.  In repayment for the fealty, he will give Jon the name Stark and return him to Winterfell.  Jon has wanted to be a Stark for all of his life and tells Sam this.  During the election process, Janos Slint (the guy who was cowering with Gilly during the battle) stands up and declares how awesome Thorne is.   Sam finally speaks up and talks about how Slint was cowering with Gilly and how Jon would make the better leader of the Watch.  Jon is not terribly pleased.  It comes down to a tie with Maester Aemon yet to vote.  He votes for Jon.   Jon Snow is the new leader and lord Commander of the Knights Watch.  WOO HOO Jon.
Not a lot of action this episode.  This was more of a moving the pieces around the board to get them in place for the right move kind of episode.  I EAGERLY await the next moves.
Game of Thrones
THERE WILL BE SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you have not seen the end of season 4 or read the book A Feast For Crows, you might not want to read on.
I know, I am late to this party.  Many, many, years ago I read Game of Thrones.  I was so upset  by the beheading of Ned Stark that I barely finished the book and did not continue on in the series.  I did go on to read wikipedia and see if Joffrey Baretheon got what he deserved or not.  At that time, the Red Wedding had not yet been written and Joffrey was still on the throne.  I was so pissed off that there was no resolution or retribution to the murder of such an honorable man.  I decided I would never finish.
Many years have passed and the show was now on HBO and the buzz is everywhere.  My brother read all of the books and kept trying to get me to read them and watch the show.  Finally, after years of silent protest and solidarity for the life of Ned Stark, I decided to watch.  I think my brother almost peed his pants when I suggested we watch it.
The creators of this series have done an amazing job.  From the costumes to the special effects, the cast to the screenplay.  EVERYTHING has been done with such a deft hand, I am surprised.  I have now watched the series more than once and last Sunday was the season five premiere.  This is he first time I will be watching week-to week.  This is also the first season of the show that will be ahead of the books.  I am a bit nervous for what is to come.
I heard that the first four episodes were leaked.  WTG HBO.  I hope that I miss all of the spoilers that are inevitably coming out in the next few weeks.  I have also decided to avoid my brother as he has of course downloaded and watched all of the leaked episodes.    This episode was a bit slower than most.  I think it was intentionally that way to get you back in the swing of things and remember who was where in their stories.
The Lannisters:
Tyrion.
By FAR my favorite Lannister and my favorite male character.  His story begins with a view from a box.  He has left King's Landing in a crate, smuggled away by Vyres.  They are both now in the house of Illyrio Mopatis.  We know of him because he housed the exiled Daenerys and her brother Viserys Targaryan at the beginning of their story.  Master Illyrio also gave Daenerys the dragon eggs as a wedding gift when she married Khal Drogo.  Tyrion is in a funk since shooting his father on the privy.  (HEE HEE I never thought that word would come up here).  He and Varys continue to discuss (not terribly pleasantly as Tyrion is covered in poo from his crate) their escape and future.  Varys will forever be a patriot of the realm and not whomever is in power.  He is trying to encourage Tyion to take up with Daenerys and her dragons.  Tyrion is by this point drunk and not really caring what happens to Westeros.
Cearsei.
My least favorite person in like forever...wait...only since Joffrey died I guess.  Her season begins with a flashback when she was a child.  She snuck off to go see a witch and have the witch tell her the future.  The witch did indeed tell her that future, and you can see how some of Cersei's decisions come from that place.  Her knowledge she will have three children and not from the king.  The king will have 20 but not from her.  We come back to present time and they are preparing the funeral for her father Tywin.  She is beyond rude to Jamie-her brother whom she has born his 3 children (and is hot).  She blames Jamie for taking up with their monster brother (Tyrion) and then killing their father Tywin on the loo. Jamie helped his brother escape but then Tyrion took the crossbow to their father unbeknownst to Jamie.  That was last season.  This season is the funeral for Tywin and Cersei is bitchier than ever.  Her betrothed, Loras Tyrell, tried to provide comforting words and all she did was blow him off.  Bitch.  He is the Knight of Flowers and brother to her soon to be daughter-in-law the BEAUTIFUL Margery.  Granted he is gay and not any happier about their engagement than she is (she is almost double his age) but he is trying to put up with her.  Then her recent lover (to replace Jamie while he was a captive of the Starks) and first cousin, Lancell Lanister comes up to her and tells her how he has found the seven Gods and to show penance for what they have done (cousins sleeping together and plotting her husband Roberts' death) and the Gods will understand.  She is a total biatch to him too.
The Starks
Jon Snow
Jon is at the wall.  Big shocker.  He is helping train some of he young soldiers in sword fighting when the Red Priestess Melisandre comes to him and has him go to the top of the wall to see Stanis Baretheon.  Stanis tells Jon that Jon needs to convince Mance Rayder (the captured leader of the wildlings) to bend the knee and join Stanis in the war for the Iron Throne.  Jon goes to Mance and does try to convince him.  Mance refuses stating that he would rather die a free man than lose the respect of his fellow compatriots by caving to southerners.  I do not really blame him.  I would not want to kneel to Stanis either.  Besides, Stanis is a bit of an ass hat.  His wife is CRAY CRAY and his mistress, Melisandre, is creepy as hell.  Manse is then put to the death by being burned at the stake.  As a show of honor, in front of everyone-wildlings and all-Jon shoots Mance with an arrow so he will not lose honor why screaming while being burnt.  I believe this to be foreshadowing.  With all of the wildlings and the Knights Watch all looking to Jon with honor and respect, I believe when the time comes he will be the force that unites both groups to fight the White Walkers.
Sansa
Disclaimer: I think Sansa is a bit of a waste of oxygen.  That being said, I had hopes for her for the first time with the end of last season.  At the end of last season, Sansa lied for Petyr about the death of her aunt Liza.  There was a look she gave Littlefinger, Petyr Baelish that said she knows how to play this little game now.  She then dyed her hair and it seemed that  the old pushover Sansa was gone.  WATCHOUT here comes the new Sansa. That was all at the very end of last season.  This season she is now in the Vale with her cousin Robyn and her guardian of sorts Littlefinger.  Robyn is being trained in sword fighting and he is proving to be a total wimp (in the books he has always been sickly).  Not at all surprising there though.  From what we see it seems Sansa is well and truly under Petyr's finger.  This totally bums me out!   HAHAHAHA I was fooled.  She is still being manipulated by Petyr.  UGGGG I had such high hopes.  Alas, she is pretty lame.
Arya
Arya is nowhere in this episode at all.  I was bummed.  She is my favorite character.  In the show, she is a total badass.  In the books she is even better and she started this story at NINE years old.  At the end of the episode, there are previews of episodes to come.  One shows where she goes to Bravos to train.  YAYYYY!
Others
Daenyres
Daenerys is busy in Meereen dealing with holding the city.  Nothing really new here.  She is learning that compromise is not a sign of weakness but of strength.
Brienne of Tarth
Brienne is still in the world heading....where again?  Who knows and cares at this time.  Podrick Payne, previous squire of Tyrion Lannister, is with her and they are looking for Sansa (sort of).  There is a scene where Sansa and Littlefinger are in a carriage that passes Brienne and Pod in the wild.
Gendry
He is still rowing to King's Landing.  (I assume).
This is where we are now.  I love the books and the series is doing them so much justice.
Here is a very old pic of me trying to be Catelyn on the throne.  HAHAHA I had finished book 1 and was trying to show bitchy for the redemption of the death of Ned.
~I have many many friends and family that read/watched this series.  This is for all of them, they who have pushed and encouraged me to continue this wonderful journey.  This blog is dedicated to my friend Suzie who has had a really bad week.  I hope whatever happens, it happens soon and things get better.
